Elimu ni maarifa anayopata mtu darasani. Vijana wengi wamepata elimu wakianzia chekechea hadi vyuo . Baadhi yao elimu hiyo imewasaidia, wakafanikiwa na wengine kwa bahati mbaya walishindwa.
Kupata cheti chenye alama nzuri peke yake haitoshi. Kijana anatakiwa kutumia elimu hiyo na kuiweka katika matendo sahihi. Ili apate uzoefu ambao utamvusha kimaisha, yampasa aitafsiri elimu ya darasani kwa vitendo. Sambamba na hayo, kijana anatakiwa ajitambue, ajitume na awe mbunifu. Neno kukata tamaa liwe ni mwiko kwake. Heshima na hekima nazo ni nyenzo muhimu sana kwa vijana. Vile vile, kijana anatakiwa kupokea na kufuata maelekezo kutoka kwa wakubwa zake.
Hebu tuangalie ujasiri aliouonyesha kijana aliyeokoa maisha ya abiria 24 kwenye ndege ya Precission iliyoanguka katika Ziwa Victoria. Fursa ilipojitokeza (kwa upande wake ilikuwa ni fursa), alijitoa mhanga kwa kutumia ubunifu na uzoefu wake wa majini. Hatimaye, alifanikiwa
kuwaokoa baadhi ya abiria. Kujituma kwake kumemfanya ajulikane ndani na nje ya nchi, kitu ambacho kisingekuwa rahisi kwake kama asingetumia akili zake na ubunifu wake.
Mazungumzo haya yanatufundisha nini?

The Healing Hands Project
The Healing Hands empowers people to achieve financial autonomy by building entrepreneurial skills and embedding skills transfer within the community – alleviating poverty as a driver of ill mental health. Funds raised from the jewelry will help sustain free mental health services in underserved communities and promote the economic empowerment of trained grandmothers who implementing #WHO #mhGAP evidence-based psychosocial interventions. The project provides interpersonal counseling, group talk therapy, and psychoeducation resources, referrals, advocacy and awareness raising delivered through arts.
